SLOW MELODY EVENTS 2011
JUNIOR SLOW MELODY RESULTS!
We had a smashing night at our Junior Slow Melody event in Dalmellington Community Centre on Saturday 5th March, when 21 young soloists performed in two sections – Intermediate and Advanced and, our prizes were presented by Betty Shipley from Strachur in Argyll. In addition to our normal prizes, Betty donated a brand new trophy in memory of her late husband Bill, who, sadly, died in July last year. The Bill Shipley Trophy was presented to the best cornet soloist in the advanced section and was won by Rebecca Wilson.
