Best 1st Section – Broxburn & Livingston |
|
The Senior Band took the title as overall winners, beating 19 other bands in the annual March and Hymn-Tune contest. The senior band was conducted by Archie Hutchison.
The band members were delighted to welcome back two top principal players – Graeme McCulloch as principal cornet and Billy Whalen as principal euphonium.
The Junior Band, taking part as a non-competing band to give our young players experience on the contest stage, “stole the show” by taking the title of Best Non-Competing Band and coming 11th in the overall event, beating a number of 3rd and 4th section bands in the process.
A truly remarkable performance and result for our junior players and their Conductor – Ian Taylor! |
