Just before Christmas the Band were saddened by the decision of Eleanor Ferguson our Principal Cornet to relinquish her position in the Band due to her increasing work commitments. As much as we wished she would reconsider, we respect her decision and thank her for her enormous contribution to the success we enjoyed in 2006. As well as being a brilliant player, Eleanor is also a great laugh and she is more than welcome any time in the Band hall, with or without a Cornet.
Dalmellington Band are delighted to welcome father and son, Ian & David Hamilton, to form our new Bb Bass section. They replace Bryan Keast, who is now working up North and Brian Mackie who is working down South - New Zealand! We would like to thank the two Brian's for their commitment and contribution to the band in recent years and wish them well for the future!
